  • Minji
  • I’m sitting on the couch in our living room, staring at my own worn out copy of the photo of me and my brother. My heart is still beating so fast it could explode right now. Yun walks in with a mug of hot cocoa. ‘Here. This will help.’ She says as I reach out and take it.
  • ‘Yun, Jungkook is my brother, right? I wasn’t dreaming right?’ I ask and she smiles and nods. ‘It feels so surreal Yun. When I saw that photo, I couldn’t believe my eyes and then I saw the names on the back. I hit against the desk and saw the letter. I could barely make sense of what I was reading.’ I say.
  • ‘It was probably overwhelming. I kind of felt sorry for Jungkook. When you ran out to the garden, he just started sobbing. He thought you weren’t going to forgive him.’ She says.
  • ‘Aish, I said some really harsh words to him, didn’t I?’ I ask, chewing on the inside of my cheek.
  • ‘All part of what siblings do. Besides, you don’t have to worry about it. You made up. What did Jimin say that made you calm down so quickly? It usually takes hours for you to calm down.’ She says, smiling a bit.
  • ‘I don’t know. There’s something calming about him. It’s like he makes my anger go away and he made me see reason. He made me realize Kooks must have had his reasons and I just needed to listen.’ I say and she nods. ‘I think I’m going to call him, say a proper thank you.’ I say.
  • ‘Okay. I’ll be in my room if you need anything.’ She says as she begins to walk away but she stops and turns around. ‘Minji, I’m really happy that you found your brother. I know how much this means to you.’ She says before she walks away. I sigh happily as I stand up and walk to my room, holding my mug. I place it on the night stand and get into my bed.
  • Minji: Can I call you? 😊
  • My phone starts to ring and I smile, shaking my head. Of course he won’t let me call myself. I answer the call and see his handsome face and I can’t help but smile even bigger. ‘Hey Minji. Everything okay?’ He asks, still smiling.
  • ‘Yeah, I just wanted to thank you for talking some sense to me earlier. If it weren’t for you, I’d probably still be mad right now.’ I admit. I can’t take off my eyes off him – his blonde hair which I really like, his eyes which sometimes disappear when he smiles, the way his cheeks become fuller when he smiles and that smile, that smile that makes my heart skip a beat.
  • ‘It’s nothing. It was clear you were upset and really it was instinct. I was worried about you.’ He says. ‘When I saw you having that panic attack, I wasn’t sure what to do. I was really scared.’ He admits.
  • ‘I’m sorry I put you through that. Truth is I’ve been suffering from panic attacks since I was seventeen.’ I say and he sighs.
  • ‘First of all, don’t apologize for that. I told you before. Secondly, do you want to talk about it?’ He asks and I shake my head. ‘I understand. If you ever want to talk about it, I’m here.’ He says.
  • ‘I know Chim. How are you such a good person?’ I ask smiling. I see his smile get bigger, his eyes vanishing for a moment.
  • ‘You think I’m good huh?’ He asks and nod. ‘How about funny?’ He asks and I nod again. ‘What about handsome?’ He asks and I nod while I giggle and probably going red in the face. ‘It’s good to see you smiling and laughing Minji.’ He adds.
  • ‘It’s good to see you smiling too Chim. Oppa, I wanted to apologize as well.’ I say, biting my lower lip.
  • ‘Apologize? For what Min?’ He asks, tilting his head while his eyebrows furrow together. He looks at me, seemingly unaware of why I need to apologize.
  • ‘When I was freaking out, I accused you of being Kooks’ spy and that you were faking being my friend.’ I say and he sighs.
  • ‘I know you weren’t thinking straight. Won’t say it didn’t hurt when you said that but I know you didn’t mean it so you don’t have to apologize.’ He says.
  • ‘I do Jimin. I’ve been lied to before. There was this guy who pretended to be my friend when I was at my lowest but his intentions weren’t good. He turned me into a pathetic loser in front of everyone.’ I explain, shuddering at the memory. I was completely at my lowest and instead of helping, he tried to continue to press me down but it was like a wake up call really. Thanks to him I realized how pathetic my life had become and I knew I had to turn it around and start focusing again.
  • ‘I see, so you thought I was using you like that crazy * did.’ He says and I nod. For some reason he seems to be getting mad. ‘He really must have been crazy to do something like that to a beautiful person like you.’ Jimin says. ‘Did you beat him up?’ He asks, a slight smirk on his face.
  • ‘Yah! I don’t go around beating people up and besides, I was too humiliated to do anything… that time. I may have broken the side mirror of his brand new car the next day.’ I say with a shrug to which he starts laughing.
  • ‘Good for you. A * like that deserves nothing better. You’re an enigma Minji.’ He says.
  • ‘An enigma? What do you mean?’ I ask as I shift in my bed. I reach for the mug and take a sip.
  • ‘I mean you’re a puzzle – you’re difficult to figure out and that makes you even more special. You’re cute, beautiful, funny but you’re also bad tempered and won’t back away from a fight. I think that makes you pretty amazing.’ He says.
  • ‘So the fact that I am loud and violent doesn’t bother you?’ I ask. I don’t even know why I am asking this question. Actually, scratch that – I know why. Ever since Byung had said that, those words kept going through my head.
  • ‘Bother me? Are you kidding me? I think it makes you even more attractive. I love the confidence you have and I love how you can stand up for yourselves and others, even *s like Byung.’ He says excitedly.
  • ‘Yah, he has his reasons Oppa. Unfortunately, you’ve only seen the bad side of him. Trust me, having met his father, I can understand why he acts in a certain way. He was born into a rich family with a status and always taught in a certain way, not like us.’ I say and I hear Jimin sighing.
  • ‘Maybe so but he keeps getting you in trouble. It worries me and Jungkook too. The moment you mentioned you’re partners for the school observations, I thought he was going to drive us in a wall.’ He says and I can’t help but giggle, remembering how he had braked suddenly and blamed a pigeon for it.
  • ‘Can we stop talking about Byung now? How’s Kooks doing?’ I ask and Jimin smiles.
  • ‘He’s really happy Minji. After we walked you home, he couldn’t stop singing or dancing. He’s always been quite happy but this past month, he’s been so preoccupied and it’s good to see him happy again. He was so scared you’d reject him.’ Jimin explains and I nod.
  • ‘Yun told me that he cried when I said those things to him. I feel so guilty about it.’ I admit but Jimin shakes his head.
  • ‘Don’t blame yourself Minji, Jungkook definitely does not. It was overwhelming for you and he understands that. Everyone does so stop worrying about it. It’s in the past so now just focus on building your relationship with Jungkook.’ He says.
  • ‘That’s what I plan on doing.’ I say as I take a couple of more sips. I set the mug down and I see Jimin chuckling. ‘What? What’s so funny?’ I ask.
  • ‘You have a chocolate mustache right now.’ He says still laughing. My eyes go wide as I sit up and look in the mirror. I jump out of bed and grab a tissue and wipe it off but I can still hear Jimin laughing. I roll my eyes and sit on the bed once again. ‘You looked cute.’ He says.
  • ‘You keep complimenting me.’ I mumble to myself.
  • ‘What did you say?’ He asks. ‘Oh look it’s raining.’ He says with a smile as he looks away. I keep staring at his face and side profile – the way his jawline is so sharp and precise. I start to hear the rain as well and the thunder rumbling. ‘I like hearing the rain.’ He says turning back to me.
  • ‘Me too. It’s relaxing and soothing. Can you sing me a song?’ I ask. He nods as he scrolls through his phone and Promise starts playing. He starts to sing along while we listen to the rain.
  • ‘I want you to be your light, baby, you should be your light, so you won't hurt anymore, so you can smile more, I want you to be your night, baby, you could be your night, I'll be honest with you tonight…’ He sings and I find myself humming along to him. ‘Now promise me, oh, oh, several times a day, oh, oh, even if you feel that you are alone, oh, oh, don't throw yourself away, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, hold on for a moment, intertwine our pinkies, and promise me now, oh, oh, oh, oh…’ He sings his voice soft and melodic, especially when he does those ‘oh oh’ that I simply get lost. He seems to notice but before anyone can say anything, his bedroom door opens.
  • ‘Hey Jimin… who are you singing to so late?’ Hoseok says as Jimin drops his phone. Someone picks it up and turns it around and I see Hoseok’s face, his eyes open wide just as his mouth.
  • ‘Hi Oppa.’ I say sighing and closing my eyes. ‘I um… I should go. Good night.’ I say as I give them a wave and hang up. I hug my phone tightly to my chest as I begin to laugh to myself before I feel my phone vibrate.
  • Jiminie: Sorry about that. Hoseok hyung is my roommate so he doesn’t usually knock 😅 😅
  • Minji: It’s fine Chim. I hope I didn’t get you in trouble 😂
  • Jiminie: Not at all. I’m in for a lot of teasing but not trouble 😝
  • Minji: I’m sure you can handle that… also thank you for singing that song… I can’t tell you how much I love it and your voice. 💜💜💜
  • Jiminie: You can ask me to sing whenever you want to 💜💜 You should sleep and get some rest now Minji. We’ll talk tomorrow. 😍😍
  • Minji: Yes Oppa. Good night 😘
  • Jiminie: Good night. Sweet dreams 😘😘
  • I smile as I put my phone away. I sigh happily, knowing that my life is about to change drastically. I get out of bed and grab my pillow and go to Yun’s room. I don’t bother to knock and I see her eyes freeze on me and I realize she has her pone in her hands. ‘Were you talking to someone?’ I ask.
  • ‘Nope, no way. I was just watching a cooking video.’ She says nervously and I know she’s lying. ‘What brings you to my room?’ She asks. I decide to let her be for now, knowing I will find out sooner or later.
  • ‘I’m too excited and too happy and too hyper. Can I stay next to you and maybe watch a movie?’ I ask.
  • ‘Sure, make yourself comfortable.’ She says, scooting a bit to make some space for me. I crawl onto her bed and sit next to her.
  • Byung
  • It’s Wednesday morning which means we’re going to visit the school. I’ll be lying if I said I wasn’t excited. I look over at Minji who is smiling from ear to ear. Actually, these past three days, she’s been like a ball of sunshine and rainbows. I see her touching the locket around her neck.
  • ‘You really like that locket, don’t you monkey?’ I ask as I continue to focus on the road and driving.
  • ‘Yeah I do. It means a lot to me. I’ve had it since I was a baby.’ She says as she lets go of it. ‘I’m so excited about today.’ She says as she looks into the mirror to check how she looks. Her hair is up in a tight, neat pony tail and she has a little bit of make up on. She’s wearing black trousers and a white shirt with flowers on it and her pumps.
  • ‘I’m excited too.’ I admit. We keep talking about how excited we are and what scares us the most throughout the thirty minute drive. We exchange funny stories about encounters with kids and I find myself laughing heartily. I don’t know what it is about her that always puts me at ease, maybe it’s her honesty. We finally reach the school so I park my car and we start walking through the administration office.
  • We’re here early so the only one here is the headmaster. ‘Ah you must be Minji and Byung – the Masters students.’ He says. Minji and I nod as we both bow down low. ‘Welcome to St. Jerome’s primary school. I’m Mr. Kim, please, sit down.’ He says as he leads u towards the desk. We sit down on the two uncomfortable chairs and I look around the office. I can see mold in the corner and the painting is being peeled off. I see a number of old frames there.
  • ‘It’s nice to meet you Mr. Kim. I’m glad to see you were informed about us.’ Minji says as she realizes I didn’t speak. I nod at them.
  • ‘The pleasure is all mine. I have to be honest, I was surprised to see that you were sent here.’ He says with a sigh.
  • ‘Why is that Mr. Kim?’ I ask, leaning a bit closer. Mr. Kim is probably in his fifties but his figure is still rather fit. He’s wearing a suit but it doesn’t look expensive.
  • ‘This is a very poor district Mr. Oh. The school community here is made up of children of farmers, fishermen and the sort. We have a lot of social problems – a lot of children coming from single family households and poor families. Education is not given prominence and this school finds it really difficult to run on the resources we have available to us.’ Mr. Kim explains as he looks down in shame. Minji and I look at each other and sigh.
  • ‘I’m sorry to hear that Mr. Kim. It must be difficult for you.’ Minji says, her voice sweet and gentle, a side I don’t often see. I’m used to tough girl who is constantly saying rude things to me and constantly hitting me. Mr. Kim seems to look at her for a while and I see his face relax slowly. It’s almost like she can charm anyone in trusting her.
  • ‘It is very difficult and it will be extremely difficult for you but I can promise that everyone will be cooperative as much as possible. We will try to make it easier for you and provide as much as we can.’ Mr. Kim says.
  • ‘We appreciate that a lot Mr. Kim. We promise to work hard.’ I say and he smiles.
  • ‘I am sure I will. Come let me introduce you to your mentor. Ms. Minji will be taking year 2.1 and Mr. Byung will be taking year 2.2.’ He says as he stands up. We follow him down the corridor. Although the wall paint is chipped, I see a lot of drawings by the kids hanging there on display. It’s clear that the teachers want to show the work of the kids which is rather heartwarming. It breaks my heart knowing that a school which caters for children with more social needs doesn’t get the support that other schools get. It doesn’t just break my heart; it makes me mad. We reach two classrooms and Mr. Kim opens the door and the three people in there stand up and bow at Mr. Kim.
  • ‘Good morning. Ms. Minji, Mr. Byung meet Mr. Park – he’s your mentor. He teaches Science and he’s in charge of health and safety as well. These are Lucy and Lisa Na – they’re sisters and the teachers you’ll be working with.’ Mr. Kim says.
  • It’s finally break time and we go to the yard. I stay next to Mr. Park and to the two sisters. Minji and I have spent our morning with our respective classes so now is the time I’m seeing her again. ‘So, what do you think so far?’ Ms. Lucy asks.
  • ‘Mr. Kim mentioned the problems but I’m liking my stay so far. All the teachers I’ve met so far have been really friendly and welcoming.’ I say.
  • ‘Same here and the kids are quite adorable.’ She says and is on que a group of three girls and five boys from Minji’s class approach her.
  • ‘Miss Minji can you race with us? Ms. Lucy usually races with us but she twisted her ankle two days ago so she can’t run.’ One of the boys says as he pouts. Minji laughs and nods and lets him take her to the edge of the yard.
  • ‘She’s in for it. They’ll be asking her to race and play with them every break.’ Ms. Lucy says with a smile.
  • ‘Some of them barely get any attention at home so they’ll do anything to get our attention.’ Ms. Lisa says.
  • ‘I know they tell you how discipline is important and it is. You need to be able to control the class but not with punishment or shouting. These kids are special and need a lot of love.’ Mr. Park says and I nod. I can’t help but remember when I went volunteering in South Africa and Brazil. They had absolutely nothing but getting love and attention was enough to make them happy. I look at Minji who is doing race after race with different kids. They keep laughing and she does so too. By now there are more teachers looking at her and smiling. I see Mr. Kim approaching us with a smile on his face. He stops right next to me and crosses his arm.
  • ‘Yes, I think you’re going to do amazing.’ He says, smiling. Minji walks next to us, sweat dripping from her forehead.
  • ‘Whoa. I didn’t think I’d be getting my daily workout here as well.’ She says laughing. One of the kids who was looking on walks next to her and looks at her. He gives her a smile and then gives her a small daffodil that he must have gotten from the garden. ‘For me?’ She asks as she kneels down before him to be at his level. The boy nods but doesn’t say anything. ‘Thank you so so much. I’ll put this on my night stand so it’s near me.’ She says, smiling at him. I look at the scene before me and I feel my heart warming. I look at Minji and she looks the most beautiful I have ever seen her. She seems to be radiating with happiness right now.
  • Hoseok
  • ‘Thanks for coming with me to help with the groceries.’ Yoona says as we get out of my car.
  • ‘Of course.’ I say as I open the trunk of the car. We take out the bags and she closes the trunk. She walks towards the door just as it opens up. Her mother smiles and waves at me.
  • ‘Ah Hoseok. Please come on in.’ She says. I look at Yoona who shrugs and motions me to go inside. I follow inside their medium sized house as we walk into the kitchen. ‘Place the bags here.’ Her mother instructs. We place the bags there as the small woman begins to move around, placing things in place.
  • ‘I probably should get going.’ I say to Yoona but her mother stops and looks at us.
  • ‘Nonsense. You’ve got to stay for dinner. It’s almost ready.’ She says happily which makes it hard to resist her offer.
  • ‘Eomma he’s had a long day. He needs to go to his own house and rest. It’s already enough he got held up to help me.’ Yoona says.
  • ‘Yoona, sweetie, don’t say no to your Eomma.’ Her mother says, giving her a stern look. Yoona goes to say something but keeps back and looks at me.
  • ‘I guess, I can stay for dinner.’ I say and I see her mother’s face beam up with a big smile. ‘Thank you, Ms. Sung.’ I say as I give her a bow and she laughs.
  • ‘Any friend of my daughter is my friend. Yoona move your butt and go get the nice plates.’ Her mother says.
  • ‘Please, let me help.’ I say. Her mother looks at me and then nods so I follow Yoona to the small living room. ‘Your Eomma is really sweet.’ I say and Yoona smiles as she hands me a handful of plates.
  • ‘She is but she can be scary sometimes.’ She says. We hear the door opening and we both turn to look. I barely recognize her brother as he walks in covered in dust, his red hair full of white dust as well.
  • ‘Oh hey noona, hi hyung.’ He says. The poor boy looks exhausted but he still sports a big smile on his face. Yoona walks to him and starts to ruffle his hair when her smile vanishes.
  • ‘Baekhyun – what happened to your arm?’ She asks as she grabs his arm. I realize it’s bandaged.
  • ‘Nothing serious noona. I hit against a pipe accidentally and went to hold it and it made a small cut.’ He says.
  • ‘Aish, I told you to be careful.’ She says frowning. Baekhyun smiles and kisses her cheek.
  • ‘I am fine noona. I’m going to go get a shower.’ He says and she nods.
  • ‘Okay, dinner is almost ready so be quick and we’ll wait for you.’ She says and he nods as he hurries to the bathroom. She turns to me and I see the worry in her eyes.
  • ‘Accidents happen Yoona but it’s nothing serious so try not to worry too much.’ I say and she nods. We go back to the kitchen and help Yoona’s mother serve the food. We finish by the time a clean Baekhyun comes to join us.
  • ‘Hyung, you’re staying for dinner? That’s awesome.’ He says as he raises his arm for a high five. I return the favor and I see Yoona looking at me with a smile on her face.
  • We finish eating dinner and I insist on helping clean up so it’s me and Yoona doing the dishes while Baekhyun went to the living room with his Eomma. ‘I had a lot of fun eating with you and your family.’ I say.
  • ‘Well to be honest I think Eomma adores you and even my brother looks up to you.’ She says as she hands me another plate which I dry off. ‘He used to be intimidated by you.’ She says and I let out a chuckle.
  • ‘Intimidated? By me?’ I ask again and she nods. ‘Well that’s a first.’ I say as she passes on another plate.
  • ‘Is it? You have no clue the power you have, do you? Yes, you’re mister sunshine and happy and laughter but you can be intimidating, especially when it comes to dance and work. Have you never noticed how during rehearsals, when you speak, they all stop and just listen?’ She asks and I look at her dumbfounded. ‘They respect you and your opinions a lot.’ She adds and I smile as she hands me the last plate.
  • Suddenly we hear the rain pattering quietly and we both look at each other. She grabs my hand and leads me behind her. We go through a backdoor and up the stairs to the roof. She pulls me with her as she goes to the middle of it and just looks at the sky, feeling the rain on her face. 'What are you doing?’ I ask laughing as I mimic her.
  • ‘I love being in the rain and dancing to it.’ She admits and I nod. I go to the corner where there is a bit of a cover and I take out my phone. I search through the list and smile as I find the song I am looking for. ‘What’s this? I never heard it before.’ She comments.
  • ‘That’s because it’s Tae’s new song but he hasn’t released it yet. It’s not the finished product.’ I say as I approach her and give her my hand. She giggles as she takes it. I put my hand on the small of her back while she places her hand on my shoulder. We begin to slow dance together while the rain continues to soak us. Taehyung’s soft and deep voice fills the air along with the beautiful melody and the sound of the rain hitting the ground. We move around the roof, our feet light as we dance together, our eyes never leaving each other’s. My heart beats like crazy against my chest but I focus on her – her dark brown eyes, her small nose, her soft lips. We dance as if everything else in the world does not matter - as if we can waltz away everything. We dance and waltz, using the space around us. It doesn't even feel like dancing, it feels as if we're floating. The song comes to an end and we stop dancing. I can’t help myself but lean in close to her. She doesn’t back away and our faces are really close to each other before our lips connect together.
  • My hands go on her cheeks while her hands wrap around my neck as she goes slightly on her tiptoes. Our lips move in sync as I explore her mouth for the very first time. I feel the raindrops falling down my face and her hair has gotten completely soaked just as our clothes have but, in this moment, I don’t even give a damn about anything except the fact that I am kissing Yoona – the girl I have liked for years. We finally pull away and I look at her. We keep staring at each other for a while, neither of us saying anything, at least not verbally.
  • ‘So, what now? What do we do?’ She asks, breaking the silence. I smile and shrug.
  • ‘Does it matter? Yoona, I like you. I have liked you for a long time but I always kept back out of fear but…’ I say.
  • ‘Stop talking and kiss me.’ She says with a smile. I nod ready to comply as we kiss again. It starts out slow as we both close our eyes, getting completely lost in the kiss. The kiss grows deeper until we both pull away for air. I rest my forehead against hers. ‘For the record, I’ve liked you for a long time too.’ She says and I nod.
  • ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ I ask and she smiles but doesn’t say anything. ‘I know you’re probably scared of the consequences of what might happen but we can deal with whatever comes our way, together, right?’ I ask.
  • ‘Yeah, you’re right and I would love nothing more than to be your girlfriend Hoseok.’ She says as she gives me a quick peck. I hug her, cutting her off from the ground and twirl her around, causing her to giggle. I put her down again and I give her another peck. ‘Are we going to tell the others?’ She asks.
  • ‘Let’s wait a bit and see how long it takes for them to figure it out but I don’t want to keep it a secret from the boys for long and I’m guessing you’d like to tell it to Minji and Yun. You seem to have really taken a liking to them.’ I say and she nods.
  • ‘Yeah they’re good girls. As much as I would like to stay here, I think we should go inside. I’ll ask Baek to lend you some clothes before you catch a cold.’ She says as she begins to walk towards the stairs. I grab her hand and pull her next to me, close to my chest.
  • ‘One more kiss before we go.’ I say as I place my lips on hers. It’s a short kiss before she takes my hand and we run back inside, dripping water everywhere. We go to the living room where her Eomma and Baekhyun stare at us.
  • ‘What in the heaven’s name did you two do?’ Her Eomma asks and I look at Yoona. I hear Baekhyun laughing and their mother turns to look at him.
  • ‘They danced in the rain. What did you think the noises were?’ Baekhyun says, still laughing. ‘Come on hyung, come with me. I’ll find you some clothes.’ He says and I nod as I follow him to his room. We go inside and he throws me a towel which I take to dry off my hair. ‘These are the best I can do. I don’t have any… um, brand clothing.’ He says.
  • ‘Baek, this is more than enough.’ I say as I take off my shirt and take his. He gives me a nod as I quickly change clothes.
  • ‘You like my noona, right?’ He asks and I look at him, hesitantly before I nod.
  • ‘I do. I like her a lot. Does it bother you that I do?’ I ask and he shakes his head.
  • ‘Not at all. Just promise me you won’t leave her for someone else like Appa did to us.’ He says. For a moment, I see the innocent eighteen year-old boy that Yoona mentioned. The boy whose father walked out on them, the boy who is still carrying that mark on him.
  • ‘I won’t.’ I say as my eyes fall on his arm. ‘That’s not exactly a small cut and it’s not dressed properly.’ I observe and he sighs. ‘Come, let me do it for you.’ I say as I sit down on the bed. I take off the bandage and redo it all together. ‘Baekhyun, Yoona is someone very important to me, she’s like family to the boys and I so if you ever need any help with anything, don’t hesitate to ask us, okay?’ I ask and he nods.
  • ‘Got it hyung.’ He says with a smile and a nod.
  • I arrive back at the dorm to find the boys waiting for me in the living room. ‘Is something wrong?’ I ask as I look at them. Jin looks actually quite angry while Yoongi shakes his head and smiles a bit.
  • ‘Hyung, where were you? We’ve been calling you and we got worried.’ Jimin asks and I smile.
  • ‘I went to help Yoona with her groceries and her mother was there and she wanted me to stay for dinner and then I stayed to help with the dishes.’ I say.
  • ‘And the clothes? Those weren’t the clothes you were wearing before you left.’ Yoongi comments, a smirk on his face. Aish how does he notice everything?
  • ‘We… kind of, um..’ I begin, unable to stop my stuttering. Hoseok – get a hold of yourself. ‘We went to the roof and it started to rain and Yoona wanted to dance in it.’ I say.
  • ‘Oh is that all? Your face is going red hyung.’ Taehyung comments. I grab a cushion and throw it at him, hitting him in the face.
  • ‘Stop being a pervert.’ I say to which everyone laughs.
  • ‘I wasn’t being one. You’re the one who thought dirty.’ Taehyung comments as he throws me back the cushion.
  • ‘Next time you decide to play Romeo trying to impress Juliet, give us a call or send a damned text.’ Yoongi says.
  • ‘Yoongi’s right. We were all really worried. We thought you got into an accident or something.’ Jin says, sounding serious and like he is on the verge of crying.
  • ‘Oh is hyung getting emotional?’ I ask as I walk over to Jin. I go hug him but he goes to walk away, making the others laugh. I grab his arm and pull him back but he doesn’t turn around so I hug him from the back. ‘Sorry for worrying you hyung.’ I say and he scoffs.
  • ‘Come on everyone. Let’s go to our rooms and rest and we’ve got a long day of rehearsals and Yoona won’t let us off the hook just because you danced in the rain with her.’ Namjoon says with a knowing smile. I shake my head as I start heading to the room when suddenly Jimin jumps on my back.
  • ‘Yah! Are you a kid?’ I ask and he just laughs as he wraps his legs around me so he doesn’t fall. I shake my head, roll my eyes but also smile as I keep walking to our room. We go in and he jumps off and then jumps onto the bed.
  • ‘Seems like you shouldn’t tease me so much when you’re hiding something yourself.’ He says.
  • ‘What am I hiding? Everyone knows I like Yoona.’ I say with a shrug. He starts to laugh and I smile as well as I go to our bathroom and change in my nightclothes.
  • ‘Is it romantic? Dancing in the rain?’ He asks.
  • ‘You could say that.’ I say as I get into my own bed. He nods and I see him taking out his phone as he texts, probably Minji.
  • I really enjoyed working on this chapter. The phone call between Minji and Jimin was oozing with flirting and cuteness. How cute is it that he sang for her? Byung and Minji seems to be getting along great too. One difference between Jimin and Byung is perhaps the fact that Jimin likes all the sides of her, including the ones that Byung hates / dislikes. We also have our first official couple - Hoseok and Yoona.
  • #TeamHoona? I look forward to what you think. I really enjoy reading your comments. - Tae's Misfit
  • Note: I am thinking of doing a short stories book... I don't know how to write in short so it won't be one shots. Each story will have a number of parts. What do you think about this?
